The Challenges

The Skywatch project is an 876-acre Planned Unit Development (PUD) located north of New Hope in Washington County, Florida. This property fronts both State Highway 79 and Holmes Creek, a designated Outstanding Florida Water (OFW). The Rick Harrison Designed master plan incorporates approximately 624 residential units and 44 acres of supporting commercial uses.

Complete centralized domestic water distribution and sanitary collection are an important and integral component of this master planned community. Stormwater management techniques include dry retention, treatment recharge swales and vegetated natural buffers.

The property has significant environmental attributes including over 9,000 feet of Holmes Creek frontage and an inter-mingling of onsite jurisdictional wetlands.
