Snug Harbor Boat Ramp

Panhandle Engineering was selected by the City of Panama City for the design of a new boat ramp facility. This 4-acre property was historically a marina with a single boat ramp, parking, outdoor storage, and a marine service building. It also included a seawall with multiple wet slips for boat mooring. By 2006, the marina was shuttered, with all site improvements removed from the property, with the exception of the sea walls and boat slips. The City purchased the property with the goal of creating a new public boat ramp for community residents. Panhandle Engineering provided design, permitting, and construction administration support services for the development of the new boat ramp and park, which includes two new concrete boat ramps, seawalls, fixed and floating docks, handicap access ramp, vehicle and trailer parking, washdown station, restroom building, and an open pavilion.
