William Thompson, P.E., NCEES MLE & IRPE
William is a lifelong resident of Bay County and has witnessed firsthand the region’s remarkable growth over the past three decades. He graduated from Florida State University – Panama City in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He began his engineering career in 2018, where he developed a strong foundation in practical design, municipal permitting, and project management.
In 2020, William joined Panhandle Engineering, further expanding his expertise in site geometric design, stormwater management, flood zone impact mitigation, drainage systems, and potable water and sanitary sewer utilities. He has worked extensively with local municipalities including Bay County, Panama City, and Lynn Haven, as well as state agencies such as the Florida Department of Transportation and the Northwest Florida Water Management District.
In 2025, William became an Associate Partner at Panhandle Engineering, assuming greater responsibility for the success of both his clients and the firm. He is committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions with diligence, integrity, and efficiency. As a project manager, he values clear communication and strong collaboration among clients, design engineers, permitting authorities, and contractors. William takes pride in the technical knowledge he has gained throughout his education and career and remains dedicated to continued professional growth to better serve his dynamic and ever-evolving community.
